FACILITIES

Victoria Dental Clinic is situated on the ground floor, including our waiting room, surgeries, and bathroom facilities, with suitable access for all disabled patients.
Visits can be arranged via telephone (If any special requirements are necessary please notify
us.)

DENTAL CARE AND TREATMENT IN THE PRACTICE

We offer private care to children and adults, including a range of preventative and cosmetic
dentistry.
Patients can be referred to our specialist for orthodontic assessment and treatment.
We may refuse to treat patients who are violent or abusive, fail to pay their bills, or refuse to
co-operate during treatment. In this case, we will inform the patient.

COMMUNICATIONS

Good communications with our patients are very important and we take time to explain
the proposed treatment, any risks associated with it, as well as available alternatives.

INFORMATION ABOUT YOU

In order to provide you with a high standard of care we need to hold personal information
about you. The practice complies with the General Data Protection Regulation May 2018 and  Data Protection Act 1998 and personal
information about patients is processed fairly and lawfully and kept confidential.

COMPLAINTS AND REFUND POLICY

We want you to be entirely satisfied with your care and treatment. If a filling or crown fails
within a year we will provide a free replacement or a full or part refund depending on the
circumstances. If you are not satisfied with the care or service provided at the practice
please talk to Practice Manager Miss Paulina Bartyzel who will deal with the complaint
according to the Practice’s Complaint Procedure.

EMERGENCY CARE

Registered patients who have a dental emergency should telephone the practice at 0161 832
4153, 0745026 6440 or when the practice is closed ring 0745 026 6440 during weekends
and bank holidays.

APPOINTMENTS WITH SPECIALIST

We would like to inform you that a standard consultation with a specialist doctor is scheduled for 30 minutes, we want all visits of our patients to take place at the appointed time.
However, we reserve the right to extend emergency visits. In such a situation, we will contact you as soon as possible to inform you about any delay in your appointment.

 

 

DEPOSIT  AND CANCELLATION  CHARGE POLICY

 At Victoria Dental & Healthcare ltd we take a deposit of £30 when you book an appointment, including new patient examinations. This will be deducted from your bill for the relevant treatment after your visit. We understand that things sometimes come up and that you may need to make changes to your appointment. We will always be as flexible as possible with our patients – that’s why the deposit will be refunded if you subsequently cancel the appointment with more than 24 hours’ notice.
However, we reserve the right to retain your deposit in case of late cancellations (any cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice). This may sound strict, but quite simply if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice it is very difficult for us to rebook your appointment slot or slots which means that we are unlikely to treat another patient in your place.

When we make your appointment, we are reserving a room for your particular needs. We
ask that if you must change an appointment, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice. This
courtesy makes it possible to give your reserved room to another patient who needs it.
There is a charge of £50 for not showing up for scheduled appointments. Repeated
cancellations or missed appointments will result in the loss of future appointment privileges.
We feel that our patient’s time is valuable. When your appointment is made, a room is
reserved, your records are prepared, and special instruments are readied for your visit.
Except for emergency treatment for another patient, you can expect us to be prompt. We,
of course, would appreciate the same courtesy from you.

MISSED APPOINTMENTS

If you are unable to keep your appointment please let us know as soon as possible so that
we can give the appointment to somebody else. If you miss more than 2 appointments and
give less than 24hrs notice, we will not be able to complete your treatment or offer you care
in the future.

WARRANTY

We are confident in the excellent dental services that we provide and offer a limited warranty to our patients which could last from 1 to 5 years (conditions apply). The warranty period will be limited to 6 months if the missing teeth are not replaced.

The warranty agreement is offered exclusively to patients who follow our recommendations such as undergoing regular professional dental examination (at least every 6 months), cleaning and fluoride treatments.

With that in mind we offer the following dental warranties:
-    Composite fillings for a period of 2 years,
-    Posts for a period of 1 year,
-    Porcelain bonded to metal for a period of 2 years,
-    Full and part dentures for a period of 2 years,
-    Implants, full ceramic restorations for a period of 5 years,
-    Root canal treatment for a period of time agreed individually at the end of a treatment
(Please note – warrant does not cover complications resulting from underlying health conditions).

Provisions and what is not covered by limited dental warranty:
-    Temporary restorations (temporary crowns, immediate dentures),
-    Compromised form of dental treatment other than recommended by us,
-    Root canal treatment as complication of treatment of a very deep cavity,
-    Damage to the teeth or dental prosthesis caused by accidents (such as dropping your denture),
-    If any adjustment were done outside VICTORIA DENTAL,
-    Breakage or fracture of the tooth during treatment or between visits.
-    Proposed treatment plans are valid for a period of 6 months from the day of the visit.

In order to use the warranty the patient must consult his dentist in person within two weeks from the moment the problem occurs.
